People think Evanna is 12 |
Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch often gets mistaken with her on-screen character. The 18-year-old – who plays Luna Lovegood in the films – says fans reckon she’s a lot younger than she really is. ‘Everyone just thinks I’m really young and that I look about 12,’ she tells Now Online. Co-star Tom Felton – who plays Draco Malfoy – backs Evanna up. ‘I remember that interview you did where that lady thought you were 13,’ he says. ‘Then she tried to blag it was a compliment.’ Source: Now Magazine |

Evanna on Deathly Hallows |
Irish actress Evanna Lynch has revealed how much she loves acting in the next Harry Potter film, the first part of “Harry Potter and Deadly Hallows,” which will hit the big screens in November 2010. “It was really nice. It was like a little beach away from everything. It felt really real because it was not a set. It was really open. It was freezing. It was kind of like home though, as well … a little place in the middle of nowhere.” Though she designed the earrings and the lion hat for the last movie, she reveals she was too busy this time round to do it. . When asked what it was like it like working with Welsh actor Rhys Ifans, who plays Xenophillius Lovegood, editor of the wizarding magazine, the Quibbler, Lynch stated, “It was brilliant because he’s really so happy just being by himself. He’s really honest too, as well. Sometimes the clothes, in a way, are a bit out there. Sometimes when I’m on set I feel like I can’t talk to people in these clothes. But with him we were like a little group, a little unit.” As to what the characters are thinking in the second last movie of the Harry Potter set Lynch says, “I think they all know the ending. They all know that it has to come. And they all have an idea that Harry’s not going to be there. They all jump in. They go back to form Dumbledore’s Army and they’re ready. They don’t need Harry as much any more. I think for Luna, personally, she’s really happy because in the sixth one she established she has friends, so that’s all she needs to fight.” Thanks to Irish Centeral |

Fancy Dress Competition to Meet Cast |
On the weekend we told you that Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Jessie Cave and Evanna Lynch would be signing blu-ray Half-Blood Prince (which contain exclusive footage from Deathly Hallows) disks in-store at HMV in London this weekend to celebrate the release of the film on December 7th. On December 6th, between 4pm – 6:30pm, the cast will be signing copies for fans who have wristbands (those will be available from the shop, which is located at 150 Oxford Street, from 10am that day. Limited to one per person, regardless of how many disks you buy). Wristbands can be purchased ahead of time via the HMV website with loyalty points from the store card. These priority bands will determine who are the first 30 people to meet the cast. These people will also receive a free copy of the film, to be signed (autographs are limited to one per person). Order confirmations will need to be brought on the day to determine eligibility for wristbands and subsequent entrance to the event, since there isn’t time for them to be posted. Full details will be emailed out once the bands have been redeemed. We’ve now also been informed that a fancy dress competition will also be held on the day, with the best-dressed person getting the meet the cast backstage, one-on-one! |
